Obsidian (free), an AI model of your choice, and a computer made in the last several years. For the Onboarding Weekend you also need Zoom and Telegram for desktop. That is the full stack. We confirm your machine and help you pick the right model before you register, so nothing surprises you on day one.
Requirements depend on whether you run Ollama locally or use Claude Code Pro in the browser.
macOS
macOS 11 Big Sur or later. Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) is the strongest option — unified memory means CPU and GPU share RAM, so an M1 MacBook with 16GB runs 14B models smoothly. Intel Macs work and need at least 16GB RAM. 8GB is the absolute floor and limits you to smaller models only.
Windows
Windows 10 or later. Ollama runs via WSL2 (Windows Subsystem for Linux) or a native installer. Minimum 16GB RAM recommended. A discrete GPU (NVIDIA with CUDA support, Compute Capability 5.0+) improves speed but is not required.
Linux
Most modern distributions — Ubuntu 18.04+, Debian, Fedora, Arch, RHEL, CentOS. Minimum 16GB RAM. amd64 or arm64 architecture. GPU acceleration available via NVIDIA CUDA or AMD ROCm drivers.
All platforms
RAM: 8GB absolute minimum for small models. 16GB recommended for a comfortable build experience. 32GB if you want to run larger models later. Disk: plan for at least 20–30GB free space for Ollama plus the models we select for your system. SSD strongly preferred over HDD.

Your Studio connects to the AI provider you choose using your own account and key. We recommend Claude Code to start, but Gemini, Perplexity, and Ollama are fully supported. You pay the provider directly at their actual rates, with no markup from us, and you can switch providers anytime. If you prefer to stay entirely off the cloud, Ollama runs open models locally on your own machine.
Yes, in the most literal sense. Your second brain is plain-text markdown on your own hard drive. Every chat and every draft is exportable as markdown. If you cancel, nothing is held hostage: you keep your entire archive, your voice map, and everything your Studio ever helped you write.
The Onboarding Weekend is how every Studio comes alive, so all three days matter. If these dates do not work, join the interest list and we will hold you a seat in the next cohort, which opens immediately when this one fills. We can also discuss a private done-with-you build.
No. OoSo Studio™ is built around the depth of your body of work, not the size of your following. It works whether you have 500 subscribers or 50,000. The loop simply learns from whoever is already listening, and helps more of the right people find you.
Your body of work in whatever form it currently exists — emails, documents, recordings, notebooks, Apple Notes, Notion pages, Google Docs. We work with what is there. Telegram opens at registration with pre-work guidance so you arrive ready.
