Lead from Rhythm,

Not Urgency

An Indigenous, decolonial approach to leadership recalibration for founders growing meaningful work.

Everyday Animism. Sacred Rhythm. Flow You Can Feel.

The heart that breaks open can contain the whole universe.

A Leadership Recalibration Philosophy for Thriving with a Plant in Transition.

Living Nepantla: the threshold as home.

It took 500 years of genocidal imperialism to arrive here. It will take as many generations to undo, reimagine, and weave new worlds. You are one generation in that span, the Nepantla Generation, one of many, living in the between of what we are becoming.

The urgency is not yours. The exhaustion is not yours. The calendar was colonized before you ever sat down to plan your week.

The problem lives in the conditions. The work here is reclamation, a way back to your own rhythm. Relaxing into Nepantla is how flow becomes possible, and how the work continues without costing you your body.

This work unfolds in Nepantla, the fertile threshold between inherited urgency and deliberate rhythm. Urgency loosens. Senses reawaken. Ancestral rhythms breathe back into your days.

This is a spiral practice. You circle back to each movement as your season, your leadership context, and the scope of what you carry require.

Why the work matters

Four principles under the work

The exhaustion was never a personal flaw. Burnout is often ancestral grief asking to be witnessed, a nervous system responding to inherited rupture. The apps and the routines failed you for a reason: they treated a wound like a weakness. Name what is actually in the way, and it stops being a private failure.

Name the right villain.

The villain is the colonized clock. It is colonial productivity culture, the old bargain that says meaningful work has to cost you your body. It was never your discipline, and it was never your mindset. Name the real villain, and the shame it runs on loses its grip.

Move with Time.

You stop optimizing the morning and start keeping the rhythm your lineage, your land, and your pulse already know. Time stops being the enemy once you stop running from it.

Bridge the earth and the cosmos in your body.

The dead are not metaphor here. They arrive as participants, the telluric and ancestral current that runs up from under your feet. The cosmos runs through the same body, your own imprint, for you and no one else. You are the bridge where the two currents meet.

You belong before you heal.

You do not earn rhythm. You return to it. You belong to your lineage already, before you fix a single thing.

Those four are the ground. Here’s how I put them to work with you, in three turns.

The three movements

Those four are the ground. Here’s how I put them to work with you, in three turns.

Movement 1: IGNITE

Clarify your lane. Interrupt urgency.
Enacts Principle One

Ignite is the first principle in motion. You name the villain and set down the weight that was never yours.

This is where inherited urgency becomes visible and structurally interruptible. We name what is truly yours to carry, and what is not: scope that expanded without your consent, responsibility that drifted in because you were competent and the gap was there, work that belongs to someone else. This movement removes the misaligned weight so your capacity returns.

Active when

  • your scope keeps expanding without relief
  • you are over-functioning inside your team
  • stop time is undefined
  • you are holding work that is not yours

The shift it invites: responsibility becomes deliberate, no longer reactive.

In 1:1 work

  • naming your true founder-level lane
  • defining stop time
  • subtractive scope
  • nervous system recalibration tied to structural change

A refusal to go numb. A rising.

Movement 2: EMBODY

Stabilize capacity. Build grounded rhythm.
Enacts Principle Two Enacts Principle Three

Embody carries two principles at once. You move with Time, and your body becomes the bridge where ancestors and cosmos meet.

This is where rhythm becomes operational. We move from insight into lived pacing: energy budgeting tied to your real workload, presence aligned to real capacity, delegation clarity, and planning mapped to seasonal cycles instead of the colonial clock’s relentless present tense. Flow is no longer something you chase. It emerges from aligned responsibility. Here the ancestors enter as active participants, and the body becomes one sensing instrument inside a larger living system, in conversation with land, season, lineage, and community. The CONTINUUM map gives you your own imprint, written for you and no one else.

Active when

  • you oscillate between sprint and depletion
  • visibility feels draining
  • you cannot sustain focus across cycles

The shift it invites: capacity becomes predictable, no longer volatile.

In 1:1 work

  • energy budgeting tied to actual workload
  • Presence Rhythm aligned to real capacity
  • delegation clarity
  • rhythmic planning mapped to seasonal cycles

The edge becomes home.

Movement 3: SIGNAL

Express from aligned presence.
Enacts Principle Four

Signal is the fourth principle in motion. You express from belonging, so being seen no longer costs you your body.

This is where leadership becomes coherent. Expression no longer costs your body. What you put into the world reflects what is truly yours to carry, and no longer what predtech culture demands. Your influence widens without overextension.

Active when

  • you overextend to maintain momentum
  • being seen starts to feel like a show you keep up
  • your message expands but your body contracts

The shift it invites: your expression returns to its original kinship nature, alive, cultural, relational.

In 1:1 work

  • restructuring your presence commitments
  • refining message from lived authority
  • integrating rest into outward leadership
  • designing influence that does not destabilize capacity

Expression becomes ecology.

Ready to recalibrate how you carry leadership?

If urgency has been shaping your pace, presence, and responsibility, it doesn't have to continue. We'll clarify what is truly yours to hold, stabilize your capacity, and rebuild rhythm as infrastructure for long-term work.

Not more information. Structural change you can feel in your body and your calendar.

I learned so much from Ixchel. My sleep hygiene is massively improved, I changed the way I'm delivering programs that will make them more effective for both my clients and me, and I'm actually making progress on my book.

Before I received coaching from Ixchel, I was constantly running out of time and working weekends while struggling to find time to finish my book. I know all the usual tricks. I've time-tracked, I've time-blocked, I get up early...and still couldn't seem to crack this nut. So I asked Ixchel for help, because they're not just a coach, they're "Decolonial Time Mender" (how's that for a job title????!!!!) and has an entirely different perspective on time and getting into Flow.

IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I learned so much from them. My sleep hygiene is massively improved, I changed the way I'm delivering programs that will make them more effective for both my clients and me, and I'm actually making progress on my book. I am writing without burning myself out.

ANYWAY. I say all of that to tell you that Ixchel is brilliant. In their coaching program, Ixchel trains leaders to:

✅ decolonize your relationship with time so you can RECLAIM IT

✅ skip the energy crashes and

✅ get in and out of Flow states more easily so you can do way more culture-making work in way less time.

If that sounds like medicine you'd like to receive, join Wild Presence.

Ixchel will offer you the sacred space, wisdom and tangible rituals to guide you to flow states – so you can go out into the world, making your biggest impact no longer tapped out and scattered, but filled with renewed energy, deep focus and JOY.

MEREL KRIEGSMAN, BUSINESS MENTOR

I want to get into flow more easily and use my time differently. I want to finish my book! That’s why I asked Ixchel to coach me. Their work with me was literally time magic. So much of what they asked me to put in place in my life, I would NEVER have thought to do on my own — and it’s genuinely working.

“Ixchel is BRILLIANT. I learned so much from them. My sleep hygiene is massively improved, I changed the way I'm delivering programs that will make them more effective for both my clients and me, and I'm actually making progress on my book. I am writing without burning myself out.
